Eleuthera was amazing! I had so much fun! The plane was enjoyable because I like being in confined spaces. Exactly when I got off the plane I saw the truck. It was awesome riding around in the back. I loved bouncing around with no seat belt. My favorite part was the rope swing at Whale Point, but it started raining so we had to end it short.
I loved staying at Surfers Haven, it’s a surfing camp run by Mr. Tom and his mother. Withiery and I played foosball. The food there was also great. Some of my favorite parts were Current Cut snorkeling, looking around in the boiling hole, and walking around in The Hatchet Bay Caves. I hope one day I could go again. I had a great time on the Eleutheran Adventure!
Going to Eleuthera was definitely one of the best trips I’ve ever been on. My favorite parts of the trip were going to the Blue Hole, Queen’s Bath, The Boiling Hole, cliff jumping, turtle races, the rope swing and obviously pranking the boys.
At the Blue Hole we had to jump off a 25 ft. cliff to get into it. Unless you did what Jack, Withiery and Monica did, which was climbing in on the rocks. I was the first person to jump in, then Allie and Mr.Tom our amazing tour guide. Even though jumping off was fun, climbing back in was not. To get back up you had to climb up a sturdy rope soaking wet.
I also loved going to Queen’s Bath except there were tons of mosquitos because of the recent rainfall and the fresh water breeding ponds. Queen’s Bath was a rock structure on the oceanside with salt and fresh water ponds. All of the salt water ponds had small sea life creatures brought in from the ocean’s tidal pool.
The Boiling Hole was also very interesting. Even though a huge wave came and almost knocked me down onto the jagged rocks.
At the cliff jump, I jumped off the 10 ft. cliff five times. Nobody jumped off the 20 or 30 ft. cliff.
This year was Mr.Tom’s 2nd Annual Hope Town School Turtle Race. We don’t actually use real turtles -they’re just old egg carton pieces painted. My turtle’s name was Franklyn. He came 3rd in the first race and 1st in the second race. The races were where we also did the rope swinging into the creek. While I was swinging I felt like Tarzan swirling around through the jungle.
The best part of the trip was probably the Prank Wars because the girl’s team obviously won. Allie and I were the only true members to the team because Monica kept on switching between the two teams.
I am so happy to have these people to make this trip happen.
In Eleuthera we did so many amazing activities I never thought I would ever do, in my entire life. I went cliff jumping, blue hole jumping, i did a rope swing, searched caves, went snorkeling, and learned some historic facts. My favorite thing was the Boiling Hole and the Blue Hole.
The Boiling Hole is like a rocky hole in the ground , that is about 40 feet wide. The reason they call it that is because the waves crash against the rocks, making a boiling affect. It was phenomenal. Meredith and I were taking a picture when a wave came and almost knocked us off our feet.
My favorite thing we did was the Blue Hole. It was about 25 feet tall. I was terrified at first, but then i got up the courage to jump. I was the second one to jump. What i did was i didn’t think about i just went for it. You didn’t realize you were doing it until you were in mid air.Meredith and i were the only kids who jumped (All of adults jumped). Monica was so close to jumping but thought about it to much. Withiery and Jack were to scared to even consider to jump into the blue hole.
The rope swing was my second favorite. We had to swim to the rope and climb up onto the rocks. Once you were up you would have to swiftly snatch the rope and hold it tight. Right as you were about to swing you would have to throw your legs around the rope and hold yourself up. If you didn’t let go you would swing back into the rocks and keep on swinging back and forth. It was really fun. While we were doing it it started pouring. Some honorable mentions of my favorite moments are Queens Bath, cliff jumping, Hatchet Bay cave, trying tameran, and Ms. Liz’s divine and spectacular cooking.
