It is outstanding how a blank canvas could come to have so much color and life. March 12th was Hope Town’s annual art show. The walls were thriving with beauty and every painting was selling quickly. Much of the profits go to Hope Town Primary School and this year they raised about $2,000! As a surprise, Hope Town Primary Junkanoo even came out and rocked till’ they dropped. If you have not already, maybe next year you will enter your painting. Everyone is welcome.
This book is a major page turner! The second I picked up The Girl who Drank the Moon, I could not put it back down. When you open up the pages, a river of magic comes pouring onto you in the most spectacular way you can ever imagine.
A little girl is given extraordinary power after she DRANK the moon. As she grows, her power only becomes stronger and stronger. She is raised by a motherly witch, a baby dragon, and a sacred swamp monster. Life is already hard enough but with an entire settlement wanting to kill them, they have to think of something SUPER fast.
I totally recommend reading this fascinating book and going on the journey with the wonderous girl who drank the moon.
This year, the Christmas play is Annie Jr. and Kailey plays the main character. The dates are Dec. 12th, 13th, and 14th. It will be at the Community Center. Why do we do it? To bring joy to the people! It will also get you in the Christmas mood.
You can buy tickets for $15 adults and $10 kids. Buy them at Elbow Cay Properties.
Welcome to the blog! We have been working on the Christmas play for three months. We’ve been doing great. Sometimes we have a couple of problems but at the end we get it right. As the star, Annie, I understand how much work you have to put into the play. From 4-5pm every day, we practice.
If you like musicals, you probably want to come to the play! Without the directors Mrs. Carrie, Ms Jane, Ms Hope, Ms Chelsey and everyone who volunteers, this play wouldn’t be possible.
Signing off of this blog is grade six student Kailey saying “Read you next time!”. Good-bye!
God is awesome Ge is almighty God, he created us creatures and the animals of the sea. Every day an animal is killed so that means we are killing God’s animals. We should help our sea life. God put us on this planet to be his people so let’s do that. It’s what we must do.
Every kid in Hope Town always looks forward to the Christmas Play. This year it is about a big bad wolf named Scrooge. He learns how to be kind, thankful, and loving in this amazing show. Hope you come along at the Hope Town community center. The children have been practicing since October.
The tickets are sold for 20$ each person and sold at at Elbow Cay Properties. The performances will be held on the 13th, 14th, and 15th of December.
Each year Hope Town has a wonderful event called The Christmas Village. There is an ice skating rink, food stands, golfing, games, live music, and a raffle. You can join in the fun by visiting www.christmasvillageho.wixsite.com/mysite December 16th, 17th, and 18th from 6pm to 9pm at the ball field. Hope you come! 🙂
Summer is coming up soon! I am going to Colorado for a week or more. I am going to Steamboat Springs for a camp that is about drama and dance. I might even learn how to ride a horse! I have never been to a sleep away camp before. I hope it’ll be really fun. I’m really nervous, but my uncle’s girlfriend is working with the horses there. Having her at the camp with me will make me feel a bit better. She also went there when she was my age. I am also going to Nassau for a gymnastic camp. I get to stay with my grandmother at this camp. I can’t wait for summer!
The music recital is coming up next Friday! It is for everyone to show off their talents and what they can do. I will be playing the guitar and singing. Lots of my friends will also be performing on stage. Some of the people who are performing have done music lessons. The incredible teachers are Mr. Justin and Mrs. Carly. We have all worked really hard and hope that everyone can come. I am very excited and a little nervous because this is my first year playing the guitar in the recital.
This is a picture of the amazingly talented Summer!
